Torno indietro un attimo — Exhibition opening
Where Foto Forum
Time 7 pm
On Tuesday, May 14th, at 7pm, the exhibition Torno indietro un attimo by Antonio Rovaldi, curated by Angelika Burtscher and Daniele Lupo and produced by Foto Forum and Lungomare, will open at Foto Forum.
The project tells the story of the Adige River through a series of photographs, a sound and video installation and a book, entitled Morgen – Torno indietro un attimo, published by Quodlibet. On the occasion of the exhibition opening, the book will be presented during a conversation between Antonio Rovaldi and Esther Kinsky, which contributed with an afterword to the publication.
The project is the result of an extensive residency that Antonio Rovaldi undertook between spring and winter 2023. Traveling by foot and bicycle, the artist traversed the entire course of the river to produce a narrative of the river territory across its entire geography, from its source at Passo Resia in Alta Val Venosta to its mouth at Rosalina Mare in Veneto on the Adriatic Sea.
The photographic work is enriched with sound and video installation, giving life to a multi-voiced tale of a humid and elastic geography. Starting from June, Torno indietro un attimo will also spread across the city in the public space of billboards, bringing faraway river imaginaries to Bolzano.
We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition opening!
